This is to everyone who gave me so much hope and confidence in my work, to all those who have been by my side ever since I joined dA, and who have continued to watch and take an interest in my work. I want to thank every single one of you for all the support you have given me. You guys have been utterly BRILLIANT! But I have to admit, things have definitely slipped in the art world of Tracy Kelly.

Two and a half years ago I moved from Holland back to Australia to start uni and start a new life for myself. Ever since I can remember all I wanted to do was art. If I could somehow make a living off painting all day, then I knew my life was complete. So when I got here, I applied for some art degrees, both digital and fine art, made up my portfolio's, went to the interviews and got nowhere. I was so sure that I would get into one of them that, on the spare of the moment, I also applied for a Maths degree. It was my last choice, but it ended up being the only course I got into.

So here I am, two years later, just starting my final year of a Maths degree, with not even one piece of new artwork ever being produced since I started.

I've come here today to mourn my previous artistic life. Apparently a maths course is pretty full on! The only time I can pick up a pencil at the moment is if I'm about to draw a scatter graph or a bell shaped curve.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the course I am in at the moment, don't get me wrong, and I'm still on a distinction average, so my grades are also quite good, but there is no doubt in my mind that I will some day come back into the art world, I just wanted to let you all know that I might be MIA for a bit longer while I finish this degree. I do, however, still visit dA quite often to see how you all are, and what you've been up, so even if I don't leave you a message, I am still following your art, and appreciating the huge amount of talent that's right here on dA.

Again, thank you all so much for all the support you've given me, and I'm looking forward to getting back to it once things have calmed down.

1. I'm incredibly vain And have only JUST advanced to goin to the supermarket in my pj's. I'm still yet to venture out of my house without make up

2. I often wonder if it WOULD be possible to invent a world like the Truman Show... and am left pondering the chances of me actually being the 'real' person, and everyone around me being actors... hehe

3. I spend more money than I actually make, and have no idea how to budget...

4. I can't make decisions

5. I have a kind of psychic intuition... I suddenly get really really depressed for what seems like no reason at all, then later on (a few hours usually) either I get some really bad news or a friend gets some bad news... It happened twice in the past two weeks, once when my cousin died and the other time my friends grandmother was put in hospital for pneumonia. I've also dreamt about things that are gunna happen... my mum told me once that if I ever dreamed about the lottery numbers, make sure I remember them, so I DID dream about them once, but could only remember a couple, but those couple of numbers won us almost $800!

6. Umm... hard one... uuuuh... I smoke? bad habit! very very bad!

I met up with ~avsky last week after chatting to him for a while about both digital and traditional art. He introduced me to Exquisite Corpse, and we decided we'd do both a traditional and a digital collaboration together.

Anyway, he was telling me about all these digital art programs he uses, and VERY VERY kindly burned me a few discs with the programs on them. He works just near where I work, so I went and met him to collect the discs.

It was really great to meet him. At least now I can put a face to the name, and seem as we live so close to each other, I'm sure I'll see more of him.

So a massive THANK YOU to Ben!!! I'm havin a ball with the programs! especially ArtRage... I've never painted LITERALLY on a computer before. I'm still waiting to hear back about the Digital Art course, but I'm hoping to hear something before I leave for Holland on the 15th.

I DID enrol in a maths course today though... so if the digital art course falls through, I guess maths will be on the agenda full time for the next 4 years... sounds like a LOAD of fun... haha

Hope you all have AMAZING plans for the holidays, and I'm hoping you're all keeping it real, and preventing it from becoming even more commercialised... thats the worst bit about christmas these days, its no longer 'quality' family time, its presents and presents and... more f%#@ing presents! Since when did christmas start in OCTOBER??? may as well keep our christmas trees up all f%#@ing year apparently! anyway, going off on a tangent there again.
